What’s this about 2 separate arms?

Just as every person has 2 arms of equal importance, every human life contains 2 entities - spiritual and physical, also of equal importance.  Accordingly, the WA Smith Foundation is one organization with 2 separate arms. Why?

1. This gives supporters the opportunity to preference the destination of their funds.
   
   
2. Due to the faith-based approach of our spiritual life arm, we are aware that this arm will not be welcomed by governments in some regions where we intend to work in the future. That is quite alright because that is the essence of freedom of choice and religion. However, the bipartisan structure of WASF will provide means for circumventing such an obstacle, such that the physical life arm will remain functional, received openly, and maintain the opportunity to meet that region’s physical need(s) despite spiritual differences.
